Paslode has teamed up with product manufacturers to advise customers on the right nail to be used in any building application.
The move, which provides a far more effective service to Paslode customers on the correct nail to choose for different applications, helps manufacturers, builders and carpenters to maximise results for superior product installation (termed brand partnerships), while also giving them peace of mind.
Advice is in the form of easy to read emailable Paslode tables, each of which details a manufacturer’s product cross-referenced with the appropriate Paslode gas operated or pneumatic nailer and nails to be used.
For example, the A-lign Bevelback Weatherboard chart shows how its products can be easily fixed using Paslode Impulse Powervent Framemaster fitted with the company’s special Joltfast Cladding Guide or No Mark Attachment to drive in Paslode Impulse Joltfast galvanised 75mm x 3.06mm nails.
Likewise, James Hardie LINEA™ Weatherboard (both direct and cavity fixed) responds well to the Framemaster using Impulse 65mm x 2.87mm stainless steel Ring D head nails.
And fixing Cavibat battens is a breeze with a Paslode Impulse TrimMaster firing Impulse 50mm stainless steel or galvanised angled brads either 1.6mm or 2mm thick depending on individual project specifications.
In addition to A-lign, James Hardie and Cavibat, the tables cover a comprehensive range of manufacturers including Carter Holt Harvey, BGC, FRAMECAD, Gerard Roofs, LUMBERLOK, Dynex-Pallisade and TRICLAD.
According to Paslode’s new products development engineer Graeme Young, company sales representatives have found it much easier to advise customers on the correct nails for each application since the tables were formulated.
“They can be downloaded in an instant and builders and carpenters have found them extremely useful in their day-to-day building activities,” he said.
